It was our first weekend in London and what better to do that celebrate with a boozy bottomless brunch?
All Star Bowling Lanes recently launched London’s first bottomless craft beer brunch menu for £19 for 2 hours so we went to check it out.
The dishes available on the bottomless brunch have all been paired with craft beers. The beers perfectly match the flavour notes and profiles of each dish.
Settling down with a few beers and good food for 2 hours seemed perfect for a lazy, rainy Saturday.
All Star bowling lanes isn’t your average bowling place, it’s stylish and glamorous and it is very boutique-style bowling. It has a very American retro vibe and it’s pretty upmarket. It is also not just a bowling alley, but they do serve pretty good grub.
The brunch menu offers tempting dishes such as home-style American pancakes with sour cream and wildflower honey and Sausage and egg muffin with ketchup and mustard. We couldn’t work to dig in!
We made ourselves comfortable in the red leather booths with our beers and I tucked into Buttermilk fried chicken with treacle-cured bacon on waffles with salted chilli butter and maple syrup. (£9.50). I’ve had pancakes and bacon with maple syrup before and I haven’t been a fan so this was a risky choice. But the explosion of the mixture of flavours in my mouth was incredible, I couldn’t get enough! The contrasting flavours of the sweet maple syrup with the savoury chicken, bacon and waffle all complimented the dish. Beavertown and Brooklyn are the best beers to have with this dish.
Karl chowed down on the salt beef hash – a wholesome dish with Dedham Vale salt beef and potato hash with fresh herbs topped with 2 free range eggs.
The dishes are generous portions and filled us up for the day pretty much, espeically with all that beer! We had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to return for those dreamy chicken waffles. The only flaw is I wish we were able to get served a little quicker to make the most of our 2 hour bottomless slot, but perhaps that’s just me being greedy….ha!
If you aren’t a beer fan then you can also get a prosecco or mimosa bottomless brunch. Bottomless brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm and costs £19 with a dish and bottomless drinks for 2 hours.
They have 4 alleys across London is Bayswater, Brick Lane, Holborn and Westfield Stratford City as well as one in Deansgate, Manchester.
