An evening at Albert Docks, Liverpool
Dress – H&M
Boots – Topshop
Lipstick – NYX Liquid Suede in Vintage
These boots go everywhere with me. At first I thought £79.99 was a bit pricey for a pair of boots which had the front cut out but I’ve definitely made the most of these babies. Apologies that they are featured in almost every blog post recently. Yes I do own other shoes, about 50+ pairs, but these are just so comfortable. As I mentioned before here in my other Liverpool post, I can wear these all day walking around a city and still be so comfortable!
It was six weeks ago now we went to Liverpool but life has been pretty hectic so I am only just getting round to putting these photos up! These photos were taken on a sunny Sunday evening by the Albert Docks as it is my favourite part of the city to explore.
As much as I love visiting new countries and continents it is also so nice to spend some time in other UK cities. I’ve visited the Liverpool a few times before and it seems to have changed every time I go! It is nice to escape London and away from the madness to a city that is a bit more relaxed. I’m missing Liverpool so much that I’m hoping to visit again this year if I have a spare weekend. It is a city that I feel I could see myself living in but then part of me would miss London so much! Luckily Liverpool is just 2.5 hours from Euston with Virgin, we travelled there for less than £30 return each.
A lot of people associate the city with The Beatles but there is so much more to see and do! We were lucky that we visited on a sunny weekend so got to explore the city just by walking around. There’s so many cool bars and restaurants and the nightlife looked insane. I was too boring and didn’t stay out but I’ve promised myself that I will next time as it looked like so much fun! If you aren’t a city person then you can easily escape city life. In the past we have stayed in Southport and by the beach at Ainsdale (I’m no Liverpool expert so there may be better beaches, these are just suggestions from experience!)
What’s your favourite UK city?
