Currently suffering from Stockholm blues…
Wearing shades of red, yellow and orange, I decided to match my hair, lipstick and top with the buildings in Stockholm.
Duster coat, Jeans and Shoes – Topshop
Jacket & Top – Zara
Lipstick – Lime Crime Velvetine in Squash
So I spent last weekend in sunny Stockholm. It was sunny and warm on the day we arrived but the second day was absolutely freezing (hence why I am wearing two jackets!) My jeans, which were meant to be worn to travel in only, had to be dug out of my case again and I ditched my summer outfits I had planned to wear.
Sweden is such a fashionable country and the origin of many of my favourite brands (Acne, Cheap Monday, Nelly.com, H&M and Monki). I love the Swedish style of ‘less is more’ with discreet colours and basics, simplistic yet so sophisticated. Although completely different to my look here, I do like to incorporate some of this Scandinavian style in to my wardrobe now and then with a few minimalistic but bold statement pieces. Despite my love for Scandi fashion, I avoided the shops during my visit to Stockholm and a reason visit to Oslo, as I knew I would be too tempted to spend! (& both cities are known for being quite pricey!)
Despite the chilly weather I had such an amazing time in this beautiful city and I’ve already been looking at flights to return soon! I’ll be putting together a travel guide soon which may be useful if you are planning a trip to the Swedish city.
